Affordable Dental Implants: Dental Implant Alternatives

Implants, while both popular and extremely effective, are not the right choice for every mouth. Each individual circumstance is different, especially when multiple missing teeth are involved. Here at Coleman Burgess, DDS, we want you to have the luxury of choice.

When multiple implants aren’t feasible, we suggest implant-supported dentures, partial dentures, or snap-on dentures. In the case of a single missing tooth, a bridge might be the right option for you.

Implant-supported Dentures and Snap-ons

These options are especially useful when you have multiple missing teeth, and the prospect of replacing every single one with an implant is extremely daunting. Both of these choices rely on mounting a full bridge of teeth with one or two implants—a much easier and less invasive procedure.

Implant-supported dentures are often permanent, just as a single implant would be. They have the usual implant benefits of stability and strength without replying on adhesives, but with less surgery and less recovery time.

Snap-on dentures are exactly what they sound like. These teeth, once again, don’t require adhesive, but are also entirely removable. They simply snap on and off of the implant bases, entirely at your convenience.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are an appliance that replaces a stretch of missing teeth without requiring an entire-mouth overhaul.

These appliances can snap in like a retainer or be mounted on implants. Just as with the snap-on dentures, they do not require extensive implantation, but simple a mount of one or two posts. This makes partial dentures an extremely convenient option.

Bridges

Bridges are a traditional, and extremely effective, implant alternative for a single missing tooth. They actually do exactly what their name suggests by bridging the gap with an appliance that stretches from one tooth, over the empty space, and onto the next adjacent tooth.
