What is tooth bonding?
Tooth bonding is a cosmetic dental procedure that is used to repair minor tooth damage. After slightly roughening the area to be bonded, a composite resin that is expertly colored to match your natural tooth color will be placed on the area and shaped to match the rest of your teeth. The resin contains light activated hardeners. When an intense light is shined on the treated teeth the resin will harden to the firmness of your natural tooth. All that is left is to trim and polish your newly bonded tooth.
For major cosmetic repairs porcelain veneers are your best option, but tooth bonding works very well for chipped teeth, discolorations, and minor gaps.
